Is swift suitable for me?
Most people (with a few exceptions) will be suitable candidates for Swift treatment. Your podiatrist will carry out assessment prior to treatment and advise you accordingly.
How quickly will I see results?
You will start to see noticeable changes in the appearance of the wart over the few days after treatment. It takes time for your immune system to respond to the treatment and begin to remove the unhealthy tissue and begin the cellular repair process.
Will it hurt?
As with many treatments for skin lesions, some discomfort may be experienced during treatment. The sensation varies from person to person but most people describe it as warm zinging sensation. Swift is applied for 2 seconds at a time and any discomfort stops immediately.
Is it safe?
Swift uses innovate technology to ensure the delivery of microwave energy is precise and contained, so only the infected tissue is treated. The system has been put through vigorous testing to ensure the highest possible level of safety for patients. Each treatment uses a removable applicator tip so there is no risk of cross contamination or infection.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required depends on the size of the wart and thickness of the skin. Some warts will resolve within two treatments but more may be needed particularly with warts that have been present for over 1 year. Treatments are spaced 2-4 weeks apart and your podiatrist can provide an estimate of how many treatments will be required.
